OUR STORY
HOW FOREST BUDDIES™ WAS BORN
September 2024. Asheville, North Carolina.
Hurricane Helene hit our city with such force that for the first three days there was no electricity, no connection — nothing at all. Just us, our home, and our two little girls.
No lights. No signal. Phones dying. No screens, no cartoons — just us and two small girls who didn't understand what was happening. And that's when we realized — we had never really thought about how to spend time with our kids without screens. Now we had no choice.
That week without power taught us one simple thing — the most important moments with your children don't require electricity. They only require you and something interesting in their hands. We started looking for a ready-made solution — a book plus an activity plus something useful, all in one box. We couldn't find what we were looking for. So we decided to create it ourselves.
FROM IDEA TO FIRST BOX
After the hurricane, the city was filled with mud and unsanitary conditions. The first theme chose itself — hygiene. Because no matter what happens around you — you always need to take care of yourself to stay healthy.
For months we searched for suppliers with licenses and certifications. We checked the quality of every material. Tested for safety. Because this is for children — and there can be no compromises here.
That's how the first box was born — Forest Buddies™ — The Forest Lesson.
